I came down to Branson,back in Aug.2012. Some thing my family does this time of year,yearly,and to be disapointed that Silver Dallor City was only open one day out of out seven day stay there. We used to go there at least twice during our trip down there.. This is a big disapointment..We will spred the word,so people dont waist there gas money driving down to silver dallor city for nothing.It was bad enuff when the same company closed down celabration city..

Now that I am retired somewhat, I have come back to Silver Dollar City twice in the past year. I grew up in the Ozarks and remember when Silver Dollar City first opened. I had been down a few times inbetween but had lost track of time. Upon my return WOW what an experience. Thats was why the return trip six months later, another trip plan this spring before we head to Glacier National Park to work the summer season.
the first year we came down 2010 we were able to ride all the roller coasters then we came down in 2011 and found out they put a restriction on weight for them..I think that should have been put in the info before we buy tickets we had no trouble getting in and out of the coasters I think that is discrimination for heavier people!
My family will be coming to Branson this Easter week, 2013 and disappointed to find out that Silver Dollar City is closed that week. Isn’t that week a very popular week for families to travel on vacation.
the outlaw run is the worst ride I have ever been on. The way the seats are made, you are being knocked around and not in a good way. I thought my back was broken after getting off the ride it ruined my day at the park. I love rides and never had a problem like that before… Just be careful they really need to re-design the seats on this ride before someone gets hurt. The other rides are better. they are just as fast and more exciting but not a danger to you.
